If you’re a top 100-ranking athlete you don’t need to worry about the recruiting process because you are already being recruited by the top programs in the nation. But what if you’re not, what can you do to improve your chances of earning a scholarship and playing at the next level?
For starters, you can take control of the recruiting process and actively contact coaches without waiting to receive letters. This approach may be largely ineffective and more difficult than it sounds without the proper experience. You can also put together a game tape or highlight video to send to colleges. This is a time consuming process that can have mixed results. Colleges already receive hundreds of game tapes each year so yours must stand out.
